Draw and Learn
[Saturday Class] Instructor: Nina Green Winter/Spring 2018 Semester Session 2: SATURDAYS from 24 MARCH - 02 JUNE 2018 Note: No classes on 31 March [Spring Break], 05 May [Free Comic Book Day], 26 May [Memorial Day] Grades Pre-K - 1st // 11a-12p Grades 2nd - 6th // 1230-130p $17 Drop-in NOW ENROLLING DROP-INS SESSION 2 - REGISTER HERE Draw and Learn teaches students the foundations of how to draw by breaking down images into easy-to-interpret shapes, lines, and textures. Students will work with graphite, ink, soft pastel, oil pastel, and watercolor. |
Intro to Knitting

Tried but gave up long ago? Never tried, but wanted to get around to it someday? Here's your chance to learn the basics with instructor Haley Owens! Students will learn the basic cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and combinations of those two to make garter and stockinette stitch. From this you will have the skills necessary to make simple projects, like scarves, coffee cozies, & hand warmers, and build on them as you progress in knitting. |

This four-week daytime class session teaches both traditional and contemporary patterns, and you'll leave the class with many decorated sheets suitable for a variety of further artistic purposes, or for framing "as is!" Learning Leather: Bling Workshop

Known for his intricate guitar straps found on the shoulders of musicians all over the country, CT will aim a little smaller in this workshop. This 2-hour workshop will take you through the basics of creating a lovely collage, ready to hang. Nina will provide templates, unique and beautiful collage papers, technical know-how and a basic lesson in composition and design. You can be assured of a successful outcome, and a learning experience that you can translate into your own artwork and a fun and relaxing evening. Ceramics Studio: Handbuilding & Slip Transfer
[Saturday Workshop] Instructor: Katie Péraudeau Spring 2018 Saturday, 05 May 2018 Teens-Adults // 2-5p // Early Bird: $55 // Regular: $60 NOW ENROLLING - REGISTER HERE Learn to make a functional tumbler style cup and decorate it as only you can. This workshop will cover the basics of making structures from clay slabs, forming good attachments, and refining forms. There will also be a demo on creating textures/patterns from found objects and mono printing using slip and underglaze. If all of this sounds completely foreign, don't fret! You will learn all this and more - and you'll leave with a dishwasher- and microwave-safe cup of your own. No experience necessary. All supplies included. |
Drawing For Beginners & Beyond
[Tuesday Daytime Class] Instructor: Tristin Miller Spring Semester 2018 Tuesdays from 17 April - 22 May 2018 Adults // 11a-1.30p // Early Bird: $90 // Regular: $110 NOW ENROLLING - REGISTER HERE This class is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to draw from observation or wants to expand upon their drawing skills. The foundations of drawing will be the main emphasis over the six week course and students will work from still-lifes of varying complexity. The sketchbook will be encouraged to use on a regular basis outside of the classroom so that the student can strengthen or develop a daily creative practice. |

Tristin Miller will teach basic drawing and watercolor techniques. Welcome to your Digital Camera
[Saturday Afternoon Workshop] Instructor: Dave Dulaney SATURDAY, 20 JANUARY 2018 Adults // 11a-1p // Early Bird: $40 // Regular: $45 REGISTRATION FOR THIS WORKSHOP HAS ENDED Let's face it, a digital camera is a computer with a lens on it and it's intimidating. In this short 2-hour workshop, we will break it down into simple, easy to understand language how to get the most out of your digital camera. Even if you have never taken your camera out of the box, we will discuss how to set up your camera, beginning exposure modes, auto-focus and manual focus, and transferring your images to a computer. This will be a hands on workshop and we will spend a portion of the time actually creating images. |

Community Life Drawing Sessions

All levels of drawing experience are welcome to join, though there will be no instruction. We encourage giving a "heads up" if you plan on coming, to give us a rough estimate of how many people to expect, but if you haven't messaged, don't worry - just show up! The door will remain locked, so if you arrive after 6p, please ring the doorbell for entry; additionally, we will unlock the door for anyone who needs to leave early. |
Tai Chi
[Tuesday Evening Class] Instructor: Cheryl Weston EVERY TUESDAY Adults // 6 - 6.45p More information here, or In-Store This class focuses primarily on the Sun and Yang style Tai Chi forms, as well as QiGong (pronounced 'chee-gong') breathing and movement exercises. Tai Chi is well suited for people of all ages & abilities. All of the forms can be practiced either standing or seated. It is a perfect exercise whether you are in good health, recovering from an injury or illness, or are facing chronic health challenges. |

We are open to all different arts/artisan techniques. Though our space may have some limitations, we are willing to come up with creative solutions that work for the space and the instructor. Let's get the conversation started!
